Gifts of Holiday Cheer in Our Hometown Community

People wrapping gifts

The holidays will be brighter for many this season in our hometown Louisville community because of the generosity and spirit of giving of our amazing Humana employees.

The Louisville Salvation Army Center of Hope will be blessed this holiday season because of the generosity of the local CenterWell Home Health team. The heartfelt donations of toys, personal care items, bath linens and cash far exceeded their initial fundraising goal. Due to the compassion of the team, 25 children residing at the Center of Hope homeless shelter will receive more than $500 worth of toys during their upcoming Christmas party with Santa. The anticipation of smiles on the children’s faces is gift enough to warm our hearts.

Earlier in the month, the CenterWell Home Health team also donated $7,000 worth of new promotional items to the Louisville Salvation Army, including backpacks, notebooks, pens, magnets, folders and more.

The Humana Medicare Supplement team gathered to fill gift bags for residents at a local assisted living community, many of whom may not have the opportunity to visit with family and friends this holiday season. Each bag was filled with a bounty of personal care items, green mugs and sweet treats, topped off with personally signed cards and words of cheer.

Thank you to those in Louisville and across the country who are committed to supporting their communities year-round. For more ways Humana employees give back to their local communities, check out Humana's Impact Report.

We wish you and your families much joy this holiday season!
