Supporting Veteran and Military Families

Meet Tricia Holland, Senior Program Delivery Professional and Vice President of SALUTE, Humana’s Network Resource Group (NRG) dedicated to honoring and serving military service members, veterans, their families and allies. We spoke to Tricia about what it means to be an NRG leader, part of a military family, and the unique challenges that veterans and military families face and how to support them. 

“What I am doing as an NRG leader to better understand how to make a difference for those in our population facing mental health issues is twofold,” says Tricia. “The first just comes through education. Speaking up and helping others understand the challenges that our veterans face. The other is providing opportunities for them to connect with those who may be facing similar challenges.”

At Humana we are committed to improving the health outcomes for members of the military, veterans and their families. We support this community through our Humana Military offerings, our partnership with USAA and Humana Honor plans, support for our employees through SALUTE NRG, and partnerships with many Volunteer Service Organizations across the U.S. We also work to address heath barriers and social determinants of health through our Veterans Bold Goal Community.
