Humana's Medicaid Plans in Kentucky and Wisconsin Earn Four-Star Rating from NCQA

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — September 30, 2025 — Leading health and well-being company Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) is proud to announce that Humana Healthy Horizons in Kentucky and our Medicaid plans in Wisconsin have earned a prestigious four-star rating from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) in the 2025 Medicaid Health Plan Ratings. This recognition reflects Humana’s continued commitment to leading the way in delivering local, personalized and high-quality care in all the communities it serves.

The NCQA Medicaid Health Plan Ratings use a rigorous evaluation process. Ratings are based on a scale of one to five and measure the overall performance of health plans across prevention, treatment and experience. Achieving four-star status shows that plans perform well above average in these key areas, while driving positive health outcomes and high standards of service for members.

“Building high quality Medicaid plans is a top priority for Humana. Receiving this recognition from NCQA affirms our commitment to delivering person-centered care for all our members, wherever they are,” said Humana Medicaid President John Barger. “We are honored that NCQA acknowledges our leadership in developing evidence-based strategies that align with state-specific needs and innovations, while reinforcing how our incredible provider partners and associates are working hard every day to deliver better health outcomes.”

Additionally, Humana Medicaid plans in Florida, South Carolina, and Ohio all improved their ratings from 2024 to 2025, with all eligible plans achieving a rating of 3.5 stars or higher. These results demonstrate how Humana closes gaps in care, proactively connects members to the services they need, and creates a positive healthcare experience for its members across its holistic scope of services and supports.

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA Accredits and Certifies a wide range of health care organizations and recognizes clinicians in key clinical areas. NCQA’s HEDIS® is the most widely used performance measurement tool in health care. NCQA’s website (ncqa.org) contains information to help consumers, employers and others make informed health care choices.
