Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality

In 2022, for the 9th consecutive year, Humana was named a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign. We’re thrilled to be recognized as a workplace where everyone is welcome to be themselves, fully and openly. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is ongoing as we continue to take steps to create a positive environment for all employees.

“It is so very important for me personally to be a part of Humana which strives for inclusion and diversity. In my past life, I've always been afraid a little bit to be who I am and be my authentic self. But ever since I came on board with Humana in 2013, I never looked back,” said Candace Cokefair, Learning Systems Professional. “I'm free to talk about my life. I'm free to talk about my wife and the things that happen in our lives. And it's just amazing. And so, I would never, ever give that up.”

Since Humana first added sexual orientation to its nondiscrimination policy in 2006, we’ve worked to ensure the rights of LGBTQ+ employees and their families, promote equality in the workplace, support employees through network resource groups, and actively support community activism and philanthropy. Yet, we know there is more work to do as we continue to move forward and create an equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace for all.
